110 Octane - JUOT

Was getting gas at the station down from work, and they have a race fuel pump (there's a racetrack not far from there) and they have 110 octane fuel. Not that I want to pay $7.00 a gallon, but was wondering what it would do.

Put in TJ. Light match. Drop in TJ fuel tank. Run. Feel much better about life.

It's probably leaded... I wouldn't put it in anything with a cat or an O2 sensor. I put a couple gallons in my m/c every so often. Makes the exhaust have a very distinct smell (and white soot inside the tailpipe).

It will burn a hole through your stock piston. I know a guy who put some 100LL in his 944 and a few pistons were holy and all of them were trashed.

You obviously have zero idea what octane rating in fuel is.

Since the only way to burn a hole in a piston is detonation, I fail to see how running high octane fuel could burn a hole in a piston. My guess is that your friend was using said fuel because he thought he was a tuner, but failed to realize he was an asshat who shouldn't have been dicking around with a car.
