Great show last nite but again they had to add more people into the mix, WTF! If Locke is REALLY dead then who is playing him and who was the guy with Jacob on the beach and is now playing Locke?

I am thinking that the guy in the cabin was never Jacob to begin with. It was always this entity that is the nemesis of Jacob. I think we are to assume that it is the person that we saw at the beginning of the episode. Somehow Jacob or someone else found a way to confine this "entity" to the cabin. We find that the entity is no longer trapped in the cabin when the girl goes there to find Jacob and she says that he hasn't been there in a long time and someone else has been using it. I think we are also to assume that this entity can take on the shape of dead people (ie Christian, Yemmy, and now Locke). This entity has been trying to find a way to kill Jacob for a very long time by finding a loophole. I think that the loophole is that the entity had to find someone else to so the killing for it. It was able to convince Ben that he has been used for so long by Jacob and then Jacob turned his back on him when Ben needed him. The actual case is that Ben was never going to see Jacob in the first place, he was going to see this entity who was posing as Jacob in the cabin. He was then able to use all of these situation to get Ben to kill Jacob.
Another thing that I found interesting is that we now know the meaning behind the book "The Bad Twin" that the producers told everyone to read at the beginning of season 1. Here is ax excerpt from it: The actions of this individual closely resemble those of the "Un-Man", the demonic spirit controlling Professor Edward Weston in C.S. Lewis' planetary romance Perelandra. In the novel, the Un-Man entered an island planet by taking possession of a dead man, and did not take direct action, but rather worked through trying to persuade another to commit an evil act. This persuasion involved questioning the motivations of a being who had until then been considered an undisputed spiritual authority. Anything sound familiar? I think this refers to Locke and this new entity that is assuming the image of Locke. The answer to the question that was asked to Richard of "What lies in the shadow of the statue" was "The one who will save us all". Richard knows that Jacob is good, which is why he didn't want to take "Locke" there in the first place. Now I think we can all assume that up until the bomb blew up we were on a single timeline. Once that bomb blows up it is the equivalent of someone throwing a bolder into a stream. The timeline has now been split. We have a timeline that "Locke" and company are currently on and we now have a timeline where the island no longer exists (or at least the Swan station) since the H-Bomb blew up. Also, would everyone agree that Jacob was visiting everyone off the island to make sure they stayed on the path that would lead them to the island or back to the island? Kate was going to get in trouble for stealing but he kept her out of that trouble. Sawyer ran out of ink in his pen but Jacob was there to provide him with a new pen to finish his letter. Jacob stopped only Sayid to ask him a question which made his girlfriend get killed by a car, which ended up leading him back to the island in hand cuffs after going on a killing spree. The thing I dont understand is that Jacob said to Locke after he fell out the window "I am sorry this had to happen to you". Also, Jacob touched everyone that he went to visit, some of which were not necessary. Any ideas? At the Cross, Satan found a "loophole" by which he could finally kill the omnipotent God (that loophole being that God the Son, as an Incarnate human being, had voluntarily subjected Himself to mortality). Similarly, Jacob well aware of whatever loophole his nemesis has discovered and has willingly subjected himself to death knowing the good destined to result from it (a providential outcome of which his enemy is unaware). At the beginning of the show last night we find that Jacob has on all white and his enemies were all wearing black. Does this reference back to the backgammon game that Locke and Walt were playing? These are all questions I guess I will have to wait to have answered until next season...if ever. |
